FAQ

Q: Can anyone have hair extensions?

A: I am not able to fit extensions to anyone who is pregnant or has had a baby in the last six months. There is no eveidence that extensions are harmful during pregnancy, it is purely a precaution against excessive hairloss due to hormonal changes experienced by pregnant women and new mothers. If you have extensions and become pregnant do not worry, the extensions can easily be taken out.

Certain medical or hair related conditions may also prevent the application of extensions, the most common are listed below. If you are on any kind of medication it is advisable to check with your G.P that hairloss or scalp problems are not a side effect.

* Alopecia (hair loss)
*Excessive Thinning
*Eczema (on the head)
*Psoriasis (on the head)
*Pregnant and new mothers (see above)
*Head Lice
* Breakage on the first 4cm of the natural hair (extreme split ends)
*Excessively oily hair (not suitable for glue bonds but other methods may be suitable)
* Cancer patients or anyone undergoing chemotherapy or radiotherapy

Anyone wishing to have hair extensions fitted will be required to undergo an initial consultation prior to fitting where any potential issues will be discussed in depth.

Q: Will extensions damage my hair?

A: All types of hair extensions are perfectly safe and should not damage your own hair if applied and cared for correctly.

Q: Where does the hair come from?

As a hair extension specialist I use REMY (cuticle correct) Human Hair Extensions, these are excellent quality and are sourced ethically from India.
